Flood Risk Management

To address the challenges of flooding and poor stormwater management, the World Bank commissioned a flood risk mapping project in Kismayo. Conducted by Hydro Nova, this initiative uses hydrological models and predictive data to identify vulnerable zones and recommend structural and non-structural flood mitigation measures.

The project is expected to guide future infrastructure development and urban planning, helping local authorities to better manage flood risks and ensure the safety of residents and critical infrastructure.
